The pitch Build extraordinary cars. Help employees bring their dream projects to life. Lead the people, parts, and plans that get us to the track—and work with our video person to share the whole adventure on YouTube. I have the vision. I need you to help make it happen. I’m TurboTim. I love big ideas, unusual builds, and seeing what we can make a car do. One of my dreams is getting our Lamborghini to TX2K with a 3,000-horsepower build. I know I can’t make that happen on my own. Turbo Tim’s is growing fast. Between our shops, our software company, and our YouTube channel, there’s more opportunity than I can personally hold together. I need someone who can take ownership of the automotive build program: bring order to the projects, Help lead talented technicians on their builds, solve technical problems, and get cars finished, tested, and ready to run. You’ll be the Integrator for this side of our brand—and you need to be able to build and fabricate also. We have talented people, ambitious projects, and stories worth telling. You’ll connect all those pieces and create the processes that keep them moving. Its bigger than my personal car collection My cars are part of the story. I have some interesting ones and I want our YouTube channel to include our employees, their talents, and the dream projects they’ve always wanted to build. You’ll help develop that program across our stores: discover compelling projects, work with employees to create realistic build plans, coordinate resources, and partner with our video team to capture the journey. The people, problem-solving, setbacks, breakthroughs, and first drives all deserve a place in the story. We want to build outstanding cars and some of the most unique projects out there—and make the journey engaging enough that people want to follow along.... What you’ll own - The full build program. Keep a clear picture of every project: priorities, budgets, parts, people, deadlines, and next steps. Agree on the plan with me and keep it moving forward. - Hands-on technical progress. Fabricate, troubleshoot, and help execute the work. Bring practical knowledge of mechanical systems, automotive electrical systems, wiring, engine management, and tuning theory. You will need to coordinate with technicians, tuners, suppliers, and outside shops. Set clear expectations and follow up until the work is complete. Make sure the right parts get ordered within agreed budgets, deliveries get tracked, and equipment stays usable. If our dyno needs repair, own the repair plan, shipping, follow-up, and return to service. - Race and event readiness. Plan backward from TX2K, Powercruise, and other events. Coordinate build milestones, tuning, testing, event requirements, transportation, tools, spares, and support. - We need to help with the employee's dream projects. Engage them across our stores and help turn their ideas into achievable builds that showcase their skills and personalities. - The build stories. Work closely with our video team to plan filming around meaningful milestones and make sure the story gets captured as the work happens. Raise problems early, bring solutions, and tell me when a new idea changes the budget or schedule.
You should have real experience building custom or performance vehicles, strong fabrication skills, and a working understanding of electrical systems and tuning theory. You can talk through a technical problem with a tuner, earn a tuners respect, and pick up tools to move a project forward. You’re also a leader. You organize complex work, create useful processes, develop people, and follow through on the details. You can work with an enthusiastic Visionary while keeping the team focused on what we’ve committed to finish. You know how to find the right “who.” When a problem is beyond your expertise, you find the person who can solve it, get them what they need, and stay accountable for the result. Knowing when to bring in a specialist is part of doing the job well but staying within project budgets. You care about the quality of the car, the people helping building it, and the experience we create together.
Cars, Cats, CommUNITY—and a lot of possibility
Our values are Care, CommUNITY, Trust, Innovation, and FUN. They guide how we lead, build, collaborate, and give back through volunteering and events like Car Extravaganza and Crushawhirl. You’ll have room to shape this program, support to grow, and the opportunity to help our people grow with you. We need someone who can turn all this potential into cars we’re proud of, experiences worth sharing, and projects that actually reach the finish line.
Show us what you’ve made happen Apply with your resume and examples of your builds or fabrication work. Tell us about a complicated project you helped finish: what you owned, what got stuck, and how you brought the people, parts, and plan together. Let’s build something people haven’t seen before—and get it out of the shop and into the world.
