Job Title: Facilities Manager
Location: Multiple Locations - Twin Cities, MN
The Facilities Manager is responsible for organizing, executing, and improving how we maintain and repair our four shop locations. This includes managing internal team members, outside vendors, and implementing a cloud-based work order system. This role balances strategic planning with daily oversight, keeping communication open and outcomes on track.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Planning & Maintenance
Compile and prioritize building maintenance and repair needs
Assign tasks to internal staff; track in-progress and completed work
Order and manage necessary supplies and parts
Preventative & Routine Scheduling
Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and systems
Oversee janitorial/cleaning and landscaping schedules
Ensure all locations are clean, safe, and aligned with Turbo Tim’s standards
Vendor & Project Management
Select, coordinate, and oversee outsourced repair vendors and contractors
Facilitate large projects with timelines and budgets
Team Leadership
Supervise 4 direct reports (2 cleaning/environmental, 2 maintenance techs)
Foster a culture of pride, communication, and accountability
Coach and support individual and team performance, creating and supporting career journeys and development
System & Budget Oversight
Implement and manage a cloud-based work order tracking system
Track facility budgets, report variances, and optimize spending
Stakeholder Communication
Ensure transparent communication with shop managers and other stakeholders
Provide timely updates, clarify request status, and close the loop with follow-up
"Handy Person" Repairs
Participate in basic hands-on repairs and preventative maintenance
Performance Expectations
Create and maintain repair and maintenance budgets
Complete repair requests and regular task schedules in a timely, efficient manner
Build trust with shop leaders through clear updates and follow-through
Maintain satisfaction of internal stakeholders and direct reports
Required Experience & Skills
5+ years in facilities, operations, or multi-site maintenance
Experience supervising staff and managing vendors
Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Familiar with maintenance or task tracking software
Approachable, proactive, and aligned with our values
Additional Requirements
Highly encouraged to volunteer at least once per year at a Turbo Tim’s sponsored event
Must be able to travel between locations as needed
May occasionally work outside regular hours during major repairs or seasonal projects
